Winter Months and Birding

Over the last month, many migrating birds have arrived that will stay most of the winter months in the Garden.
A leisurely walk along the Birding Trail offers views of many of these birds: Yellow-rumped Warbler, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and Ruby-crowned Kinglets. The Yellow-rumped Warbler, commonly referred to as “Butter Butt”, may be seen in small groups sometimes hanging upside down when searching for food along tree branches or eating berries on the Eastern Red Cedar.
