Join us for our third annual Girl Scout Festival of Trees event at the Huntsville Botanical Garden - It's a brand new experience every year!
Girl Scouts of all levels (Daisy-Ambassador) will enjoy creating holiday cards and tree ornaments, a nature walk, a bit of caroling, tree decorating, group photo opportunities, swaps, holiday snacks, a community service project, and a drive through the Galaxy of Lights (optional).
This year our community service project will be to collect supplies for Free 2 Teach, which supports teachers in Madison County. We will take time to create thank you cards for the volunteers and teachers that work with the organization as well.
Girl Scouts will be able to earn and receive the present, star, and Festival of Trees patches included in the activity price. Optional tickets for the Galaxy of Lights Driving Night can be purchased separately.
Check-in at 10:00 a.m. for all participants. We will have guided walks and several stations set up to satisfy all the requirements for each level. Make sure you bring a lunch or snacks to enjoy throughout the day as well.
Group caroling at 1:30 p.m. in the Propst Guest Center.
GALAXY OF LIGHTS INFO
Cars begin lining up for the Galaxy of Lights, on the USSRC road, around 5:00 p.m. which gives you plenty of time to get a bite to eat after Festival of Trees ends, before driving through the Galaxy of Lights. Please drive out of the Garden and west on Bob Wallace Avenue to Tranquility Drive to enter. Please remember a separate ticket needs to be purchased for the lights. It is a separate fundraiser for the Garden and is not included in the Festival of Trees event.
