photography 201-1Taught by local photographer Henry Smith

Henry is a retired Mechanical and Nuclear Engineer who has been seriously interested in photography for over 50 years. He is a Master Photographer in the Huntsville Photography Society and has taught photography at UAH/OLLI, Learning Quest, and at the elementary and high school levels. He taught this course last year at the Garden and it was a hit!

This is a six-week series designed for those who are familiar with using their camera and desire to improve the quality of their photos. Participants should be comfortable adjusting shutter speed and aperture (no phone cameras). The functions of the camera and their impact on the image, photographic composition, and different approaches to photography will be discussed. Students are expected to complete and email weekly assignments to the instructor for in-class positive critiques the following week. No equipment is needed in the classroom and no auditing, please.

Limited: The class will be limited to 20 students.
