Ribbon Cutting for the Native Plants Teaching Garden

September 10, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Join us in celebrating the opening of our newest Garden addition, the Native Plants Teaching Garden! Thanks to the generosity of the Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust, the NPTG will serve as a public space that demonstrates the uses and benefits of native plants. By emphasizing plants that are endemic to the climate of northern Alabama, this garden will showcase how plants, soil, pollinators, and birds interact to create a distinct local community that is diverse, sustainable, and attractive. Reservations are not required for the 5:00 p.m. ribbon-cutting, but tickets must be purchased for the Annual Member Meeting and Dinner that follows at 5:30 p.m.
