The Scarecrow Trail is free with Garden Admission or Membership
The Scarecrow Festival at the Garden is a favorite fall event. The popular Scarecrow Trail is visited by over 60,000 guests each year. Join in the fun with your school, church or company.
Any family friendly Scarecrow is welcome. We supply Scarecrow frames to help you with your creation. The Garden has limited large round hay bales to decorate, so get your entries in early.
Scarecrow applications should be turned in by August 18’th will installation scheduling the weeks of August 21’st and August 28’th.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be part of the Scarecrow Trail and the excitement!
Prizes will be awarded for:
1st place Scarecrow – $250
2nd place Scarecrow – $100
3rd place Scarecrow – $50
1st Place Haybale Art – $100
Voting begins Labor Day weekend and continues through the end of September.
Hayrides will be every Saturday from 1-4 and Sunday from 1-4
The Pumpkin Patch offers a wonderful backdrop for your fall family photos on our vintage tractor and unique pumpkin displays. It’s the perfect spot to catch the weekend hayrides around the Garden. A wonderful new addition to the Scarecrow Trail, our Gilded Gourd display! Lots of creative artists and lots of gourds!
Bring your cameras so you can capture them in the beauty of the autumn garden. Cast your vote for your favorite scarecrow during the month of September. Pick up voting forms in the Guest Center.
