Summer at the Garden!

Wings, Warts & Wonder is the name we’ve given to everything happening at the Garden this summer. We’ll have cookouts, concerts, educational events and more.

Join the fun! It’s a world of wonder and nature all rolled into one truly magical place.

Summer’s here and it’s time for fun! At the Garden, that means Wings, Warts and Wonder is back again. The Garden is popping with color. Surprises may be found around every corner. The nation’s largest seasonal butterfly house and a unique Children’s Garden provide hours of entertainment and education.

The Nature Center is a beautiful, soaring 9000 sq. ft. natural stone and steel beam structure overlooking the pond. It’s the largest seasonal nature center and butterfly house in the nation! The waterfall, ponds, streams and lush vegetation are home to thousands of native butterflies, frogs, tree frogs, quail and other critters. The Nature Center opens April 26th for the 2008 season.

Plan on plenty of time for your kids to explore the Children’s Garden. With eight very special gardens, they will want to spend hours building their own mazes, getting dirt under their fingernails, seeing like a bee and running through the ribcage of a dinosaur. This does not even begin to scratch the surface! But count on some extra moisture, too - we know what makes kids tick in the summer - water!
