Butterfly Release Donation

What is a Butterfly Release?

It is a unique way to recognize a special person by honoring them, or it can also provide a way for family and friends to memorialize their loved ones. The release itself is a symbolic gesture in which the donors can recognize the person of their choice, all while helping to support the Purdy Butterfly House and the Nature Center through donations.

Susan Goodman has created a lovely watercolor collage of butterflies just for the Garden to use for this program. The cost is $40 per butterfly release, and there are five beautiful prints in the series. The Garden will send a beautiful 8 1/2 x 11-inch, suitable for framing, butterfly print to the person you designate, with a card naming the donor. Family Garden Memberships may be purchased as well, allowing the families to enjoy the butterflies when they are in season.

New for 2013! After many requests, a framed set of the original four butterfly prints may be purchased for a donation of $500. This set is available in the Shoppe at the Garden.
