The Garden is not only a great horticultural display for human visitors, it also attracts large numbers and many species of birds.

Fall Migration in the Garden Many waterfowl have begun their migration from the cooler climates in
Canada and the upper North American states. Monday two migrating ducks,
Gadwall and Mallards, were observed in the misting rain at Little Smith
Lake. Other migrating ducks will likely arrive over the next two weeks
as more cool weather pushes South. Early mornings are good times to
view migrating ducks at the Garden.
