Children's Programs

There are a variety of programs for children at the Garden, including individual and family classes, camps for children, and birthday parties.

Classes

Camp Out in the Garden!, September 19, 6 p.m.-8:00 a.m. OR September 26, 6 p.m.-8 a.m.
Find out what happens in the Garden after the sun goes down. Flowers that only bloom at night, nocturnal creatures and a flashlight walk of the Nature Trail will have you seeing the Garden in a whole new light. We値l even try making some good 双l camp fare. Please bring your own sleeping bags, tents and flashlights. We will provide all food.
Fee: Parent/Child: $50, Family of four: $75, Extra child or Parent: $15.
Storm Season, 4-6 year-olds, Wednesday, September 10, 9:30-11:30 a.m. OR Saturday, September 13, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Little meteorologists will complete four fun projects to help them understand severe weather in a new way. We値l look into twisters, lightning, storms and hurricane hazards just in time for peak hurricane season.
Members $15, Non-members $17.
Monarch Migration, Grades 1-3, Saturday, October 4, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
The Monarchs are coming! Your children will get a close look at these beautiful butterflies as they make their long journey to the mountains of Mexico. We値l be doing lots of hands-on activities as we investigate the life-cycle of the Monarch butterfly and explore the world of the Nature Center. Space is limited, so sign up early!

Hands-on America, Grades 2-4, Saturday, October 18, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
From the Vikings to the early colonists, we値l be making all sorts of projects celebrating our early heritage.
Members $19, Non-members $20.
Gadget Maker, Grades 3-7, Saturday, November 8, 9-11:30 a.m.
Future engineers will love this completely hands-on class where they will create light-up jewelry and an amazing buzz game. Children need to bring: CARDBOARD egg carton, needle nose pliers, and a wire stripper.
Members $25, Non-Members $30.

Camps

The Everything Camp, Grades 1-3, Monday, October 6-Friday, October 10, 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
We値l be doing a little bit of everything in this fun-filled camp designed to keep your kids entertained during Fall Break. From making games and toys, to learning about nature, we値l get the most out of this beautiful time of year.
Members $165, Non-members $180.
