Beaks & Barks is back at the Garden!
From mid-January through the end of February, dogs are welcome to visit the Garden every day. Plus, if you’re a bird enthusiast, this is an excellent time of year to grab your binoculars, head outdoors, and take a moment to appreciate our feathered friends!

Dog Days at the Garden
January 16 – February 28
Enjoy the Garden with your four-legged friend! From mid-January through the end of February, dogs are welcome at the Garden every day along our dedicated pet-friendly paths.
Coming Soon: Tweetsville
Phase 1 Opening in February
Tweetsville is a new immersive experience in the Children’s Garden that explores the role that birds play in our ecosystem. The first phase of Tweetsville opens to the public in February.
Nature Academy: Gardening for Birds
February 9, 20 & 23 at 10:00 a.m.
February 11 & 25 at 12:00 p.m.
Nature Academy classes enrich STEM learning for students in grades K-8. In February, students at Nature Academy will create a natural bird feeder and learn how to plan a garden to attract birds.
Great Backyard Bird Count
February 12 – 15
Every February, participants from around the world take part in this citizen science project to collect data on wild birds. In 2020, over 268,000 participants counted nearly 7,000 bird species, including some right here at the Garden! You can be a part of this global event from anywhere, whether you’re at the Garden or in your own backyard.
Member Exclusive: Morning Bird Walk
February 25 at 9:00 a.m.
This program is available to Garden members only. February is an ideal time for bird watching! Join birding expert Herb Lewis on this morning walk through the Garden to seek, spot, and identify birds in their natural habitat. Suitable for expert and novice birders alike, this is an authentic birding experience you won’t want to miss.
Gardening for the Birds | Virtual class for adults

Attracting birds to your garden is a fun, easy way to promote a healthy backyard ecosystem. Plus, with all their shapes, sizes, and colors, they are beautiful and delightful guests to have in any landscape! In this virtual class, your instructor, Herb Lewis, will show you how to attract birds to your backyard garden.
