This October, Spellbound returns with a nighttime experience created exclusively for adults (21+). Explore the Garden as familiar landscapes transform with dramatic lighting, atmospheric sound, seasonal décor, and mysterious scenes inspired by the spirit of the season.
Designed to be explored—not rushed—Spellbound invites you to wander at your own pace. Discover live performers, enjoy seasonal cocktails, gather around cozy firepits, and capture memorable photo opportunities as you experience the Garden after dark.
Spellbound isn’t a haunted house or a jump-scare attraction. Instead, it’s a mysterious fall evening filled with theatrical lighting, atmospheric sound, and unexpected moments that celebrate the beauty and intrigue of the Halloween season.

Please Note: Your ticket is valid for entry at any time during operating hours on your selected date, provided you arrive before the last entry time. Once inside, you’re welcome to stay and enjoy the experience until closing.
We recommend allowing at least 60 minutes to experience Spellbound, but we encourage you to stay longer. Take your time exploring, revisit your favorite moments, gather around the firepits, and enjoy seasonal food and drinks throughout the evening.

Spellbound takes place outdoors along Garden pathways. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and dressing appropriately for the weather.
Absolutely! We encourage guests to wear Halloween costumes. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, costumes may not include full-face masks, realistic weapons or props, or anything that could interfere with the experience or other guests. Costumes that are excessively revealing, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate for a public event are not permitted.
Most of Spellbound takes place along paved Garden pathways and is wheelchair accessible. Where portions of the experience include grass or uneven terrain, an alternate accessible route will be provided.
Free parking is available in the Garden’s visitor parking lots. We recommend parking in the Azalea or Dogwood lots. See Garden Map.
Spellbound is an outdoor event and will take place rain or shine unless severe weather creates unsafe conditions. Any weather-related updates will be communicated through the Garden’s website and social media channels.
Yes, if tickets remain available. At-the-door ticket sales begin at 7:00 p.m. each evening at the Garden Admission Desk and are available until the last entry time for that night. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance to guarantee admission and receive discounted pricing.
No. Spellbound is designed exclusively for guests 21 years of age and older. A valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry.
Guests may leave and re-enter the event on the same evening with a valid event ticket or wristband.
