Welcome the official start of summer with an evening of music, connection, and nature at our open-air Summer Solstice Concert. Featuring live performances by the Southern Strings ensemble, this event brings the beauty of classical music to the Garden’s outdoor Amphitheatre.
As the sun lingers in the sky, enjoy melodic string performances surrounded by the natural beauty of the Garden — an atmosphere designed to ease you into the season ahead. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating on the grass, or relax on the Amphitheatre steps.
Arrive early to grab a bite from the Fern & Feast On-The-Go food trailer, sip a refreshing cocktail or mocktail from the Garden Bar, and settle in among the lush landscapes and warm summer evening air.
Whether you’re gathering with friends, planning a relaxed date night, or simply looking for a peaceful way to unwind, the Summer Solstice Concert offers a welcoming blend of music, nature, and community.
Details
- Timing: The concert will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and conclude at 9:00 p.m. (with a mid-concert 10-minute intermission)
- Seating: Guests are encouraged to bring cushions or blankets for added comfort to sit on the Amphitheatre’s concrete steps. Lawn chairs are permitted but must be placed in the back row of the Amphitheatre or in the surrounding grassy areas to ensure clear sightlines for all guests.
- Refreshments: Refreshments will be available at the Amphitheatre. Fern & Feast On-The-Go, the Garden’s bistro food trailer, will be serving burgers and bites, while the Garden Bar offers beverages throughout the evening.
- A Note from Nature: Natural summer sounds will be part of the experience—sometimes the frogs like to sing along!
- Don’t forget bug spray—the warm summer air brings the bugs out too.
- Weather: This event will be held rain or shine. In the event of rain, the concert will move indoors to the Isenberg Grand Hall.
