Great Backyard Bird Count 2018

An enthusiastic group of 17 birders participated in a Garden birding tour following the Great Backyard Bird Count Birding Symposium on Saturday, 17 Feb. Within one hour, a total of 16 bird species were recorded and reported to eBird.

Morning Walk

The Garden provides a welcomed refuge for migrating Yellow-rumped Warblers and Chipping Sparrows. A Ring-necked Duck and a pair of Mallards share feeding time on Little Smith Lake. Bluebirds are beginning to check out nest boxes in the South Meadow.
