Fall Family Field Trip: Looking at Leaves

Come have fun with the whole family with Fall Family Field Trips! Discover engaging STEM concepts while exploring and enjoying the Garden with these guided programs. The program lasts for 2 hours and includes a guided tour in the Garden and hands-on activity stations. The program is appropriate for families with children from ages 2-13.
Leaves are everywhere, but why are some different? Families will learn about the parts and shapes of leaves and then put that knowledge to work with some basic Tree Identification. It wouldn’t be fall without looking at why leaves change colors and doing some fun leaf-rubbing activities too! This event will feature a guided tour through the Mathew’s Nature Trail enjoying the many varieties of leaves. Please come prepared to be outdoors.
