About the instructor:
Born and raised in North Alabama, Kitt has always had an affinity for nature. As a child, her grandmother Dianne helped cultivate her love of plants at a very young age. Today, as a floriculturist, gardener, and plant enthusiast, Kitt spends her days surrounded by plants. She is actively involved in several aspects of horticulture, from greenhouses and grow rooms, to plant swaps and public events coordination. Under the employ of Botanica Huntsville, Kitt is the sole caretaker of their catalog of rare and exotic plants. When she is not working at Botanica, you can find her tending her private plant collection, continuing her plant education, and volunteering her time to admin online educational plant forums.
