Join artist and landscape architect Preston Montague for a presentation about professional planting design. Preston will introduce you to strategies that professional landscape architects use to create ecologically-sound, sustainable, and beautiful planting arrangements. You’ll hear about how to attract birds and pollinators, design a landscape with year-round interest, and plan your plantings effectively. With these tips and tricks, you will be ready to take your home landscape to the next level!

About Preston Montague:
Preston Montague is an artist, educator, and landscape designer who developed a passion for the natural world while growing up in the rural foothills of Virginia. Currently, he lives in Durham, North Carolina working on projects that encourage stronger relationships between people and their environment for the purpose of improving public health. Preston holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from North Carolina State University as well as bachelor’s degrees in horticulture and fine art.
