Plant Invaders Workshop
March 21, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Instructor: Jennifer Davidson, HBG Horticulture Specialist
The Plant Invaders project is a Huntsville Botanical Garden educational outreach effort to inform members, visitors, volunteers, and staff about locally problematic invasive plant species identification and current best methods of control. HBG has identified six invasive plant species that are particularly problematic in the Garden and the surrounding areas. Each workshop will have a presentation and a field component that will give attendees to practice what they learn. Our goal is to help you identify invasive plants and learn how to eradicate them from your property and control their spread.
Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes. Remember, mosquitoes and ticks are starting to wake up from their winter snoozes, so wear your long sleeves and pants. Tools, gloves, eye protection, and insect repellent will be provided; however, you are welcome to bring your own equipment.
