Spring Plant Sale

The Spring Plant Sale is back for 2021! This year, the sale will include two dates for online pre-sales followed by nine dates for in-person sales. This is an exclusive opportunity to peruse the Garden greenhouses and purchase from a unique selection of plants that have been lovingly grown and cared for right here at the Garden. Our staff and volunteers will also be available to share their expertise and help you choose the right plants for your home landscape!

The Spring Plant Sale will include a variety of extraordinary plants, plus special plant combinations perfect for pollinators, shady spots, and more! Here are some examples of the kinds of plants you may find at the Spring Plant Sale:

• Flowering perennials (Examples: Coneflower, Salvia, Lenten Roses, Butterfly Milkweed)
• Annuals (Examples: Coleus, Zinnia, Impatiens, Petunias, Geranium)
• Shrubs (Examples: Hydrangeas, Paperbush, Azaleas, Spirea, Lilacs, Viburnum)
• Native plants (Examples: Native Azaleas, Buckeye Trees, Oak Leaf Hydrangeas, Swamp Sunflowers)
• Herbs (Examples: Basil, Dill, Fennel, Oregano)
• Fruit and Vegetables (Examples: Blueberries, Tomatoes, Peppers, Asparagus)
• Hanging baskets

Please note that we are unable to guarantee availability or inventory of any plants. All plants are sold on a first come, first served basis.

Online Pre-Sale: Purchase plants online and pick up the next day
Members Only: April 15 (Pick up on April 16 & 17)
Public: April 16 (Pick up on April 17)

• Garden members shop first with Members Only days! Interested in becoming a Garden member? Click here to learn more.
• For the Members Only Online Pre-Sale, all Garden members will receive an email with a special shopping link on Thursday, April 15, at 9:00 a.m. With that link, Garden members will have the opportunity to purchase plants online while supplies last.
• For the Public Online Pre-Sale, a public shopping link will be posted here on Friday, April 16, at 9:00 a.m. Anyone will have the opportunity to purchase plants online while supplies last.
• All plants purchased online must be picked up at the Garden on April 16 or April 17.
• Please note that we are unable to guarantee availability or inventory of any plants. All plants are sold on a first come, first served basis.

In-Person Sale: Reserve your shopping time and shop onsite at the Garden
Members Only: April 22 & 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Public: April 24, 29 & 30 and May 1, 6, 7 & 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• Admission to the sale is limited, and you must reserve your one-hour pass online (one pass per person). 
• Garden members shop first with Members Only days! Interested in becoming a Garden member? Click here to learn more.
• The sale will take place in the Garden greenhouse area. Follow directional signage when you arrive at the Garden.
• In order to control the flow of traffic and maintain safe social distancing, we ask that you do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your scheduled shopping time.
• Payment with a card or check is preferred.
• Please bring your own face mask or covering and hand sanitizer.
• Please note that we are unable to guarantee availability or inventory of any plants. All plants are sold on a first come, first served basis.
• The Master Gardeners of North Alabama will be offering free soil testing on April 22 - 24 (drop-off only), May 1, and May 8! Bring a sample of soil from your garden to learn more about what your plants will need to thrive.
