The Beauty of Alabama | Virtual class

April 13, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Join us to explore the past, present, and future of our region: the story behind the beautiful and diverse native plants of Alabama.

Led by your instructor, Patrick Thompson, this virtual class begins in the past, looking back in time to understand how ancient history contributed to the wide diversity of species we see in our region today. After diving into the past, we will look forward into the future, to new frontiers in plant conservation and new cultivars of Alabama plants created in our state and beyond. In just an hour and a half, this virtual class will reveal how understanding our past and appreciating our present allows us to shape our botanical future.
