Tree Selection for Landscapes
March 29 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
The March 29 Tree Selection for Landscapes Program will be postponed with an intent to reschedule as we are able.

Instructor: Chris Stuhlinger, Certified Arborist
Learn the basics of selecting the right tree for your property. We will discuss the reasons for planting, site conditions, tree characteristics, suggested species to plant, and species to avoid. Included will be some non-native species, small trees, and street trees. The pros and cons of the various planting stock sizes and types will be summarized. Also highlighted will be some woody species that will be available at the Spring Plant Sale.
We will meet in the Anderson Education Classroom in the Nature Center. If time allows, we will walk outside to view some of the recommended tree species. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. In case of truly unpleasant weather, the entire class will be held inside.
Garden Members: $15
Non-Members: $25 (price includes Garden admission)
