Offering dynamic, hands-on STEM classes tailored for children ages 6-12, our program is designed to enhance learning with fresh and engaging content each year. Naturally Delightful Discovery

Led by our highly qualified educators, these two-hour classes delve into exciting scientific topics through hands-on activities and exploration. Activities may include guided tours of the Garden, gathering and recording data using citizen science apps, participating in STEM challenges, exploring books on environmental topics, and completing art projects to take home.

Previous class topics have included bees, habitats, designs inspired by nature, weather, bird watching, the water cycle, and Earth Day.

Age Appropriate Learning

To better support age-appropriate learning, participants are now grouped into ages 6–8 and ages 9–12 for portions of each class.

Some activities may bring the groups together for shared exploration and collaboration, while others will be separated to provide challenges, discussions, and projects tailored to each age group’s developmental level and interests.

Find a Nature Academy Class

We offer two sessions of each class throughout the month, allowing you to choose a date that fits your schedule seamlessly. Registration is now live for our 2026–2027 Nature Academy sessions. Join us on either of our monthly scheduled dates from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Space is limited to 20 participants for each session.

Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We invite you to check back with our calendar often and sign up for the Nature Academy topics that interest you.
