What is Night Blooms?
Night Blooms is an evening event at the Garden featuring thousands of lights and botanical lanterns. On a one-mile walking journey through the Garden, you will experience your environment like never before, discovering handmade lanterns of plants and wildlife reimagined as illuminated, technicolor, and larger than life.
When is Night Blooms?
Night Blooms takes place from July 21 through September 26 on Wednesday through Sunday evenings. Exact times vary by date. Please check the ticket calendar to see the available times for any given date.
How long is Night Blooms?
The walking path at Night Blooms is about a mile long. Although all tickets must be purchased for a designated entry time, your ticket does not include a required exit time. You are welcome to enjoy the experience at your own pace until Night Blooms closes at 10:30 p.m.
Where is the entrance to Night Blooms?
All guests should enter through the main Garden gate, located at 4747 Bob Wallace Avenue. You will be given instructions on where to park from there. After parking, please proceed to the Eloise McDonald Propst Guest Center (the large white building).
Are the paths accessible for strollers/wagons/wheelchairs?
Yes, our paths are a mix of compacted gravel and paved roads, and they are wide enough to accommodate strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs.
Are you offering shuttle rides or rentable wheelchairs?
Shuttle service is not available during Night Blooms. Wheelchairs will be available at the front desk on a first-come basis. To help everyone in your party have an enjoyable and comfortable experience, we encourage you to bring your own strollers, wagons, and/or wheelchairs as needed.
Can I drive through Night Blooms?
No, Night Blooms is a walking-only experience.
Can I bring my dog to Night Blooms?
No, dogs are not permitted in the Garden during Night Blooms.
Will there be concessions at Night Blooms?
Yes, we will have snacks and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available for purchase. As a reminder, guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol into the Garden under any circumstances.
Will the gift shop be open during Night Blooms?
Yes, the gift shop will be open most nights until 9:00 p.m. during Night Blooms. Stop by to see our thoughtfully curated selection of gifts for the home and garden!
How do I get my tickets?
Get the best price by pre-purchasing your tickets! You can pre-purchase your tickets for Night Blooms online or at the Garden’s front desk during regular Garden hours. As long as tickets are available, you can purchase tickets online or at the gate up to the time of your arrival.
How much do tickets cost?
Night Blooms tickets vary in price depending on your age, when you purchase your tickets, and whether or not you are a Garden member. All ticket prices are listed below. (Hint: To get the best deal, pre-purchase your tickets before arriving and become a Garden member!)

Can I buy my ticket when I arrive?
We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance in order to guarantee availability at your desired time and to secure the best ticket price. Each date and entry time for Night Blooms has a limited capacity, so without a pre-purchased ticket, you may need to wait for availability. If tickets are entirely sold out when you arrive, you may be asked to return on a different night. But as long as tickets are available, you can purchase tickets at the gate.
Do I have to arrive at my designated arrival time?
Yes, please arrive as close as possible to your designated arrival time.
What happens if Night Blooms is sold out on a specific date/time?
Each date and entry time for Night Blooms has a limited capacity. When pre-purchasing your tickets, you will not be able to select a date/time that is sold out. If you do not pre-purchase your tickets and tickets are entirely sold out when you arrive, you may be asked to return on a different night. We don’t want anyone to be disappointed, so we strongly encourage you to pre-purchase your tickets before arriving!
What is the ticket refund and exchange policy?
Tickets to Night Blooms are non-refundable. Tickets may be rescheduled to a different date for a transaction fee of $5 per ticket. All unused tickets are considered a donation to the Garden in support of our mission activities. To reschedule your ticket(s) or to receive a tax deduction letter for your donation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We ask that you kindly allow two business days for a response to ticket inquiries, including rescheduling requests.
What happens if there is inclement weather?
Night Blooms is held in the rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, Night Blooms will be cancelled, and we will announce the cancellation by 3:30pm on our website and social media channels. In this situation, all pre-purchased tickets can be rescheduled or refunded upon request. You may also donate your ticket fee to the Garden. To reschedule your ticket(s) or to receive a tax deduction letter for your donation, please email email@example.com. We ask that you kindly allow two business days for a response to ticket inquiries, including rescheduling requests.
