Ari Loucks is a multidisciplinary designer, maker, and craftsman whose work blends woodworking, metalworking, textiles, sketching, handcrafting, and CNC fabrication into a dynamic creative practice. Inspired by nature, patterns, and organic forms, Ari’s artistic perspective has been shaped since childhood through a fascination with the natural world and design. Creating a public sculpture has long been a personal goal, influenced by visits to sculpture gardens across the country and a desire to contribute immersive art experiences on a larger scale.

Steve Loucks is a ceramics artist whose work ranges from utilitarian pottery to decorative sculptural vessels inspired by natural form and balance. Rooted in principles like the golden mean and proportional harmony, his pieces reflect patterns commonly found in nature — from seashells to pinecones. Whether functional or artistic, Steve’s work emphasizes thoughtful structure, visual rhythm, and the quiet beauty of organic design.

Christopher Boyd Taylor is a sculptor and educator based in Huntsville, Alabama. He is the principal of Fritz Strathern LLC, a studio focused on sculpture, digital fabrication, and functional public structures. His work often uses industrial materials such as steel to create site-responsive forms that invite movement, gathering, and new ways of experiencing space. 

Taylor has completed public projects for Huntsville Botanical Garden, Arts Huntsville, the City of Huntsville, the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, and Nashville International Airport. Recent installations in front of Stella at Five Points explore the relationship between sculpture, architecture, and everyday public life. 

He holds an MFA in Sculpture and Dimensional Studies from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and a BFA from The Ohio State University. Taylor is an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he teaches sculpture and digital fabrication. Through both his studio work and teaching, he is interested in how sculptural environments can create moments of curiosity, reflection, and shared public experience. 

Eric Nubbe is a sculptor and fabricator based in Alabama whose work merges craftsmanship, large-scale fabrication, and interactive design. With over a decade of experience creating public art, Nubbe specializes in transforming familiar objects and forms into larger-than-life sculptures. His practice blends traditional techniques such as metal forging, casting, and welding with contemporary computer-based design and CNC fabrication. 

He is particularly drawn to public art due to its natural accessibility, being meant for public consumption. Nubbe builds on this conception, further seeking to bridge the gap between art and audience by creating pieces that are both visually striking through fine craftsmanship and accessible with interactive or functional elements in his designs. 

Jennifer Moore is an artist and designer working at the intersection of language, image, symbol, and color. She makes things that communicate and things that resonate. 

She directs the City of Huntsville’s Public Art Program through Arts Huntsville and is currently pursuing an MFA in Integrative Art at Athens State University’s Alabama Center for the Arts. Her path wound through a BA in Studio Art from Cal State Fullerton, art studies at UCLA, and a career threading graphic design, writing, technology, and the performing arts into something she stopped trying to name a long time ago. 

Her thesis exhibition, The House of Symbols, explores Jungian archetypes through immersive, participatory environments. The Unus Mundus – her Nature Unframed installation – extends that research into the garden, using mushroom-form steel tongue drums, hypertufa sculptures, and community-made intention flags to make the invisible connections between people and nature something you can hear, touch, and contribute to. 

Originally from Southern California, Jennifer has called Huntsville home since 2007. When she’s not working or making art, she’s reading, hiking, watching something spooky, playing video games, or getting into trouble with kindred spirits.
