Arbor Day 5k Race & 3k Sapling Fun Run

Arbor Day Races at Huntsville Botanical Garden

Join us as we celebrate National Arbor Day with a special race event at Huntsville Botanical Garden! On Saturday, April 26, 2025, we’re hosting a 5k Race and 3k Sapling Run to highlight the importance of trees and their impact on our communities.

RACE DETAILS

This event features a staggered start:

  • 5k Race (Chip-timed) – Begins at 8:00 a.m.
  • 3k Sapling Run (Non-timed) – Begins at 8:15 a.m.

Both races will take participants through the scenic paved and gravel roads of Huntsville Botanical Garden and the US Space and Rocket Center.

Race Registration

REGISTRATION & T-SHIRTS

All registrants will receive a commemorative short-sleeved t-shirt. To guarantee your preferred shirt size, you must register by Monday, March 31, 2025.

Both events have limited entries, so early registration is encouraged. All registrations are final, non-transferable, and non-refundable.

ENTRY FEES

5k Race

  • $30 prior to March 31
  • $40 beginning March 31

3k Sapling Run

  • Ages 11+ – $25 prior to March 31 or $35 beginning March 31
  • Ages 4-10 – $15 prior to March 31 or $25 beginning March 31
  • Ages 0-3 – Free with paid adult (no commemorative t-shirt)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Pets, headphones, and non-registered participants over the age of three are not permitted on the course.
  • Strollers are welcome for the 3k Sapling Run only.
  • All participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

    • Friday, April 25: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Huntsville Botanical Garden (4747 Bob Wallace Avenue)
    • Saturday, April 26: 6:45 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. (Race Day)
RACE DAY POLICY
  • The race will take place rain or shine. However, in the case of extreme weather conditions, the event may be canceled for safety reasons. No refunds will be issued in the event of cancellation.
