Nature Unframed

Art that deepens connection to plants

Nature Unframed brings art and nature together along Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Dogwood Trail through sculpture, sound, light, and interactive experiences that encourage visitors to explore the Garden in new ways.

Featuring four original installations by Alabama artists, this exhibit blends creativity with the surrounding landscape to create a one-of-a-kind journey throughout the trail.

Mother Earth Troll Garden

Discover something BIG!

Meet Mama Zelda in the Mother Earth Troll Garden, a permanent exhibit at the Garden designed by internationally renowned artist Thomas Dambo. Towering above a whimsical landscape of native plants, Mama Zelda invites guests of all ages to explore a one-of-a-kind experience blending art, storytelling, and nature.

Wander through the exhibit and discover imaginative details, natural beauty, and plenty of opportunities for exploration along the way.

    Celebrating the season of autumn

    Festifall (that’s right — festi-FALL!) is how we celebrate the fall season at the Garden all September and October long. Over two festive months, the Garden is filled with whimsical displays, seasonal traditions, themed events, and experiences for all ages.

    From family favorites like the Scarecrow Trail and themed celebrations to our Fall Plant Sale, seasonal activities, and festive evenings under the stars, Festifall offers something new to discover throughout the season.

      Scarecrow Trail

      Creativity, community and seasonal fun

      The Scarecrow Trail is one of the Garden’s most beloved Festifall traditions each fall. Guests can stroll along a photo-worthy trail filled with imaginative scarecrow creations designed by local families, schools, businesses, and organizations. Each year features a unique theme that inspires whimsical characters, playful storytelling, and festive displays throughout the Garden. From funny and charming to spooky and creative, every scarecrow adds its own personality to the experience.

      Galaxy of Lights

      Experience the enchantment of Galaxy of Lights at Huntsville Botanical Garden

      A cherished holiday tradition transforming the Garden into a luminous winter wonderland. Celebrate over 30 years of spectacular light displays, festive music, and seasonal joy. Enjoy walking or driving through the dazzling scenes, with special nights for your furry friends. Your visit supports the Garden’s mission, making each moment spent under the twinkling lights a contribution to a greater cause.
