Gardening With Kids: Terrarium Style

Terrariums are a fascinating and fun way to bring gardening indoors! Join Garden staff as they teach you and your child the best construction methods, materials and care. This class will focus on the benefits of creating and caring for Terrariums. Help your child use their imagination to create a world of their own while discovering science concepts like the water cycle and soil.
Class registration includes:
- Attendance for 1 adult and 1 child
- Glass container, soil, charcoal, plants, rocks and an instructional handout.
- You are welcome to bring small items to personalize your terrarium!
Please no more than 1 child per adult.

This class will take place in person at the Huntsville Botanical Garden, and all class attendees will be notified of the exact location via email prior to the class.

About Your Instructor:
Misty Hertzig is a certified educator at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Misty has been with the Garden for 15 years and holds a Master of Education with an emphasis in Environmental Education. She loves working with families to help them connect with and understand the natural world around them.
