Terrariums: Bringing Gardening Indoors

Join instructor, Colby Creel, in this hands-on terrarium class, an immersive experience where art and science come together. The class will go into the basics of terrarium building and will expand on the various types of terrariums you can build at home! In the class, we’ll go into the different types of plants, soils, and drainage to ensure that your terrarium is set up for long term success. Terrariums are an excellent way to liven up any room. Come to the Huntsville Botanical Gardens to learn how to bring a beautifully designed ecosystem into your space!
Class Registration Includes
- Attendance for 1 Adult
- Glass container, soil, charcoal, plants, rocks and an instructional handout
- You are welcome to bring small items to personalize your terrarium!

Additional Information: This adult education class will take place in person at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Information on class location will be provided by email prior to the class. The class will begin promptly at 6:00 pm so please arrive on time.

About Your Instructor:
Colby has always had a deep passion for plants and a curiosity for experimenting with unique ways to grow them. From a young age, he found joy in nurturing seedlings and watching them flourish, which eventually sparked my interest in various growing techniques and innovative gardening methods. He loves pushing the boundaries of traditional gardening to discover new possibilities. He believes there’s something magical about the way plants connect us to nature and inspire creativity.
