An Introduction to Nature Journaling: Spring Flowers

May 18, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for an immersive spring nature journaling experience designed to introduce you to the core principles of this enriching practice. We will use the flowers of late spring to inspire our pages, learning how to describe them visually and in writing. You will walk away with strategies for deepening your observations, improving your page composition, sketching flowers in the field and describing their anatomy. We will begin with an introductory session indoors before moving outside to apply our learning together.

What is Nature Journaling? Nature journaling is a multidisciplinary practice that involves documenting and creatively exploring the natural world in various ways, such as visual arts, writing, and scientific observation.

All materials will be provided.

This class will take place in-person at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. It will start indoors and finish out in the Garden.
