Ticket Prices

All tickets to Galaxy of Lights are non-refundable. Tickets for Walking Nights may be rescheduled to a different date for a transaction fee of $5 per ticket. All unused tickets are considered a donation to the Garden in support of our mission activities. To reschedule your Walking Nights ticket(s), please email tickets@hsvbg.org with your order/ticket number and date you wish to reschedule. We ask that you kindly allow two business days for a response to ticket inquiries, including rescheduling requests.

Proceeds from Galaxy of Lights directly support the mission-driven activities of the Garden.

Galaxy Races

The Galaxy of Lights 5k Race and 3k Fun Run are your chance to experience Galaxy on a one-of-a-kind run (or walk!) through the displays.

5k Race

Monday, December 2, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

The 5k Race (3.1 miles) will be held on Monday, December 2, with the course winding through the Galaxy of Lights trail. Much of this path is paved, with occasional sections of gravel path. Start times are staggered in two waves. Because the 5k is a timed race, it is important to start with your assigned wave to ensure proper timing for the awards.

  • Wave 1 (BLUE wristbands): 6:00 p.m.
  • Wave 2 (GREEN wristbands): 6:30 p.m.

Pets, strollers, headphones, and non-registered participants are not allowed on the course. All registrations are final, non-transferable, and non-refundable.

Our generous sponsors will be providing refreshments for participants and spectators beginning at 5:30 p.m. near the Grisham Pavilion. Bring the whole family out to enjoy the fun and cheer you on! Only registered participants will be allowed access to the Galaxy of Lights displays for the 5k Race and 3k Fun Run.

3k Fun Run

Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.

The 3k Fun Run is not a timed race but will be full of great light displays, holiday music, and prizes from our generous sponsors. Sponsors will provide refreshments for participants and spectators beginning at 5:30 p.m. near the Grisham Pavilion. Bring the whole family out to enjoy the fun and cheer you on!

The 3k Fun Run (1.8 miles) begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, with the course winding through the Galaxy of Lights trail. Much of this path is paved, but there are occasional sections of gravel path.

Unregistered children under 3 years of age are welcome for the 3k Fun Run but will not receive a commemorative t-shirt. All registrations are final, non-transferable, and non-refundable.

Driving Nights FAQs

Driving Nights tickets vary in price depending on when you purchase your tickets and whether or not you are a Garden member. All ticket prices are listed below. Reduced-rate 5-packs of tickets can be purchased at the front desk during regular business hours. (Holiday Tip: Driving Nights tickets make great holiday gifts for friends and neighbors!) On Mondays during Driving Nights, a military discount is available at the gate to all active and retired military personnel with military ID. On any night, you may also make a donation of canned food or lightly used clothing at the ticket booth to receive $1 off the gate ticket price ($1 total discount, not per item). All Driving Nights tickets are redeemable for one vehicle (limit of 10 passengers). An additional charge of $3.00 per person will apply for all passengers over a count of 10. No additional charge is applied for bus drivers.
