When will I receive my membership card?

Your digital membership card link(s) will be emailed to you within seven business days of joining the Garden or renewing your membership.  If you don’t receive your card(s) within that timeframe and it is not located in your email’s spam or promotions folders, please contact us at membership@hsvbg.org.

How do I save my membership card?

When you access your membership card using the link(s) in the email, you will have to option to save the card to your smartphone’s Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Alternatively, you may download your membership card on a desktop computer and print. If you do not have a smartphone or printer, please contact membership@hsvbg.org to have a card sent to you.

What if I lose or forget my digital membership card?

If you lose or forget your digital membership card when you visit the Garden, our front desk associates will look up your membership record when you arrive. Please be prepared to provide a photo ID. If you need a replacement card, please contact membership@hsvbg.org or let our front desk associate know during your next visit.

What is membership auto-renewal?

Instead of being prompted to manually renew your membership when it expires, we will use the credit card on file to automatically renew your membership at the same membership level, unless you provide us with a cancellation notice. Members will be reminded 7 days prior to the auto-renewal via email.

What happened to the Grandparent membership level?

While we are grateful for the Grandparent membership to be offered at the Garden for over 20 years, Huntsville Botanical Garden removed this level in January 2024 in order to simplify our membership program. Members that have previously purchased the Grandparent membership are welcome to renew at the Family membership level, which offers the same benefits as the Grandparent level.

What is the Museums For All membership?

Museums For All is an initiative of the Institute of Museum and Library Services to provide discounted admission for EBT cardholders. Beginning January 2024, Huntsville Botanical Garden extended this to its membership program. Individuals and families receiving food assistance will receive the same benefits as a Family membership at a reduced rate by presenting their EBT card and photo ID.

The following public assistance programs are eligible for the Museums For All membership level:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP)
  • Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP)
  • Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC or eWIC)
  • Summer EBT (S-EBT)
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)

Because EBT card verification is required for this level, Museums For All memberships are not eligible to be gifted. Reduced pricing for this membership level does not apply to special events and exhibits.

Prospective members may direct questions to the Manager of Membership Programs at membership@hsvbg.org or 256-830-4447 ext. 255.

What is the Reciprocal Garden Network?

Established by the American Horticultural Society (AHS) to encourage people to visit gardens while traveling, the Huntsville Botanical Garden is a participating member of the AHS Reciprocal Garden Network. Your membership with the Garden will provide you special admission prices and other discounts when visiting the 350+ gardens currently participating in the program. Most gardens ask that you simply show your Huntsville Botanical Garden membership card, but be sure to check with each garden about their requirements before visiting. I have visitors coming. Is their admission included on my family membership?

A family membership includes up to two named adults and their children under the age of 18. Any additional guests would need to purchase admission separately. If you expect to bring guests to the Garden frequently, consider upgrading your membership level to Partner or higher to receive prepaid guest passes each year!
