Guests are welcome to take casual photos and videos for personal use during regular Garden hours using handheld cameras and mobile devices. Examples include family snapshots, vacation photos, social media content, and nature photography for personal enjoyment.
No reservation or photography fee is required for casual photography.
Professional photography sessions are welcome during regular Garden operating hours. Professional photography refers to photographers using the Garden as a backdrop for client portrait sessions, including family portraits, senior photos, maternity sessions, prom photos, and graduation portraits.
Reservations are not required for professional photography sessions; however, photography sitting fees do apply. All sessions must take place during normal Garden operating hours, and shuttle reservations are not available for photography sessions.

The Garden is available for photography opportunities associated with wedding venue rentals. Admission for one engagement photography session is included with each wedding package.
Engagement photography sessions associated with a Garden wedding rental must be scheduled through the Hospitality Services department. Please email rentals@hsvbg.org to coordinate your session.
Guests wishing to schedule engagement photos not associated with a Garden venue rental may do so under the Garden’s Professional Photography Session guidelines and fees.
Commercial photography and videography include any shoot intended to advertise, market, or promote a business, product, brand, or third-party service. Examples include brand campaigns, product photography, advertisements, promotional video shoots, and influencer or commercial partnerships.
All commercial photography and videography sessions require advance approval and coordination with the Garden’s Marketing Department. Commercial photography fees and scheduling requirements apply. Please email marketing@hsvbg.org for inquiries and scheduling information.
Drone use at Huntsville Botanical Garden is restricted and requires advance approval. To help protect guests, property, wildlife, and surrounding airspace, drones may only be operated at the Garden by FAA Part 107-certified drone pilots with current insurance on file at Admissions.

The Photography Annual Pass is available for professional photographers who plan to conduct multiple photography sessions at the Garden throughout the year. This pass provides convenient annual access for professional portrait photography during regular Garden operating hours and is intended for photographers using the Garden as a backdrop for client sessions.
