Early Morning Birding

The recent Huntsville Botanical Garden Member Pop-Up offered members a special opportunity to enter the grounds at 7:00 a.m., two hours before the official opening.  I spent two delightful hours walking the formal garden paths and wooded trails in the cool morning air. The cold front that settled into Huntsville during the week set the stage for a most enjoyable birding treat in addition to experiencing the floral beauty of a world-class garden maintained by a dedicated professional horticultural staff and numerous dedicated volunteers. The Garden’s 112 acres offer visitors a peaceful walk-in-the woods and a stroll through verdant meadows that lifts the spirit.
