Each spring and fall, for a two to three week period, thousands of migrating songbirds fly over the Tennessee Valley on their epic journey between nesting areas in North America and wintering areas in the tropics.
Join us for an informative birding workshop presented by local bird enthusiast Herb Lewis as he shares secrets for creating a ‘rest stop’ for migrating birds in your own backyard. Herb will include proven garden design techniques and share photos of many migrating birds attracted to his own wildlife habitat environment.
In addition, Herb will provide a virtual tour of the Garden’s newly developed Lewis Birding Trail where 70 species of birds have been identified. Afterwards he will lead a birding tour of the Trail. Bring your binoculars!
Members $15, Non-members $20
